Great place to eat. Food is great for a chain. Coffee is excellent. If you're South of Ohio, sweet tea is SUPER SWEET. ORDER HALF AND HALF ON THE SWEET TEA IF YOU WANT NORTHERN SWEET TEA.

We had a great meal at lunch. The roast beef dinner is delicious. We had cream potatoes with gravy, green beans, turnip greens, and corn bread muffins. I highly recommend this Cracker Barrel. We had good service by Angie. The store had some nice Shawls for women. There was a good selection of colorful blouses for women. Cute outfits for children for Christmas.
We had to wait 5 minutes to be seated. No big deal for me but our 80 year old mother needed to be seated. I ask the cashier if we could see herself and she said no. Then she called for the hostess. He came out of the kitchen and seated us. Our server was wonderful but our food was mediocre. The food didn't seem fresh and was just above lukewarm. Overall it was not a great experience.
Today I had a problem returning an Audio Book, as I did not have my receipt. The lady at the cash register, Cindy, ( I believe) was rude, incompetent and had absolutely no customer service skills what so ever. She did not know how to handle the return without a receipt. She told me that I would not be able to get my money back, ($51.00 approximately). Not once did she offer to get the manager, to see about getting this resolved. When I asked for a manager, he came, and we were able to resolve the problem, he was very helpful. If I had not insisted on speaking with a manager I would have had a $51,00 charge for an audio book that I did not want to buy. I ended up paying approximately $.3.45 for the rental fee, as it should have been. Shame on you Cracker Barrel for not seeing that your employees at the very least know to ask for a manager when there is a problem rather than arguing with the customer.
Great place to eat. Very good food. The Sunday chicken is amazing. Robert who is the host is always so kind and helpful and always has a smile. One of the BEST restaurants in Hendersonville NC in my book. Also has some of the best staff around.
